Niki Lang

CEO of DCMC & Team Principal of #DCF1

As a D.C. area native, she spent years fostering guests and teams as a leading and respected sommelier. Having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from George Mason University, she has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. She mastered nearly every facet of the restaurant industry, from working at a butcher’s shop to becoming a Head Sommelier in fine dining to opening two innovative DC wine bars, Maxwell Park, as a founding partner. Maxwell Park received numerous accolades including. . . Best Bar in America from Esquire, Best Wine Bar from Washingtonian, Washington City Paper and Express, and a 2019 RAMMY award for Wine Program of the Year.

After expanding to two successful locations, Niki shifted her studies from wine to real estate. Using her in-depth personal knowledge of the city along with her expertise in hospitality, she is able to personalize and curate the buying and listing process for her clients, providing them with a concierge-like experience as they navigate the housing market together.

Most recently, Niki co-founded Vin. Vitalité: Women of Wine DC where she is the President. Women of Wine is a non-profit organization focused on creating pathways, connections, and opportunities for women in the wine community.

When she’s not closing deals, you can find her riding her motorcycle, hosting Formula 1 watch parties or tossing a ball with her mini Aussie, Vinny.

Our Story

How it all Happened...

DC Motorsport Community (DCMC) was founded by Niki Lang and Zac Hoffman in 2023 and is based in Washington, DC. DCMC builds community in the DC metro area for motorsport fans by creating inclusive, engaging events and promotions that facilitate our members’ need for speed. DCMC created our F1 fan group, #DCF1, because we are lifelong fans of the F1 motorsport. We wanted to promote these sports and make them accessible to everyone, at all levels of engagement. Niki started hosting F1 watch parties in 2021, sponsored by her real estate business. That was when she and Zac realized they both shared a strong passion for motorsports. After watching F1 racing together at different venues, they decided to partner with Duke’s Grocery in Navy Yard to cultivate the motorsport community. Our dedication to show every single race live earned us the loyalty of die-hard fans. Within just three months, #DCF1 went from a small group to over 400 members who follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter.

What
We
Do

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to ignite the thrill of motorsport and strengthen the bonds of our community in the vibrant and diverse DC Metro Area. We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals who share a fervent passion for motorsport can come together, connect, and build camaraderie.

Vision Statement:

We strive to be the premier destination for all those who enjoy the shared excitement of motorsport (members and venues). Together, we will revitalize the motorsport scene in the DC Metro Area, fostering a dynamic and tight-knit community that drives us forward in our shared love for the open road and racing.

Our club is committed to:

Building Camaraderie: We aim to forge lasting friendships and strong bonds among motorsport enthusiasts, uniting people through their shared love for all things motorsport.

Fostering Inclusivity: We embrace diversity and inclusivity, welcoming individuals of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and levels of expertise to ensure that everyone feels valued and respected within our community.

Organizing Engaging Events: We organize and participate in a variety of motorsport-related activities, including track days, car shows, race watch parties and karting, allowing members to actively engage in their passion and share it with others.

Supporting Local Motorsports: We champion and support the local motorsport scene by attending races, supporting local tracks, and collaborating with local businesses to promote the growth of the sport within our region.

Partnerships: Building strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with vendors and venues through events and promotion.

Fostering Inclusivity:

As the region’s only community-based motorsport entertainment group, it is DCMC's mission to build a space for all fans regardless of team affiliation, sporting experience, or any other means in which someone could feel ostracized or left out. We endeavor to foster a community where everyone is welcome and appreciated equally. Our events celebrate the diversity of all by celebrating the cooperative and collaborative spirit of motorsport.

In all disciplines of racing, it requires a dedicated group of like minded individuals from engineers, support staff, drivers, administrators, and many others to find success. Just as it is in racing, so it is as fans. Regardless of race, gender, sexual identity, age, our community is built on the idea that everyone is welcome. In the new era of motorsport, we are fortunate to see a wider representation of not only professionals in the sport, but among fans as well. This extends into the idea that “new” fans are not “real fans”. It has never been a better time to be a fan of motorsport across disciplines, and DCMC welcomes the seasoned veterans alongside fans that have just discovered their passion through any means of exposure. DCMC celebrates the diversity of all who have a love of speed and will always make space for every fan, no matter what.

As an organization, DCMC will always make every effort possible to ensure the safety and acceptance of all persons in attendance to our events. As a matter of policy, DCMC can and will remove attendees that violate the spirit of acceptance we uphold. Please contact Niki or Zac if you have any questions, comments or concerns. You may also email Info@DCmotorsportcommunity.com to anonymously report any activity you believe violates our mission.
